Sydney star Barry Hall will make his return to football this Saturday night after coach Paul Roos last night confirmed he would be selected in the side to play Adelaide at the SCG.
Hall has been serving a club-imposed sanction since attempting to strike Collingwood defender Shane Wakelin earlier this month, and has missed the past two matches.
But having been cleared by the club's psychologist Grant Brecht, Hall will come into the team for the crucial clash with Adelaide.
"Hally has been working now for about three weeks and will still see Grant on Friday, but talking to Grant today he's confident, having spoken with Barry again today, about being able to tick him off on Friday that he'll be right to play," Roos said.
Hall conceded he has not been a good spectator the past two weeks, and said he is keen and eager to get back out this week.
"I'm certainly excited," Hall said last night. "I'm not a real
good spectator. What I put the club through, the humiliation, I
just want to try and play some good footy now and try and put that
behind us somehow, and Saturday night is probably the first
stepping stone towards that."
